By the end of the unit, students will know:

 

- adult plants and animals can have young, or reproduce
- animals reproduce by laying eggs or developing inside the mother
- plants reproduce by creating seeds
- animals help offspring to survive by one or more of the following: making strong eggs, building nests/dens, showing parental care and offspring behaviors
- plants help offspring to survive by creating seeds with specific structures
